Football

Football, also known as soccer in some countries, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a spherical ball into the opposing team’s net using any part of the body except the hands and arms, with the exception of goalkeepers. The game is played on a rectangular field, typically grass or artificial turf, with a goal at each end.

Football is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game. The match is typically divided into two halves of 45 minutes each, with a halftime interval. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match is declared the winner.

Football is one of the most popular sports globally, with a vast following and numerous leagues, tournaments, and competitions, culminating in events like the FIFA World Cup, which showcases the best national teams from around the world. The sport emphasizes teamwork, strategy, skill, and athleticism, making it a dynamic and engaging game for both players and spectators.
